Review:

Based on a cult movie of the ’80s with the same name, this show reuses the same main characters – the Heathers clique and the mysterious J.D.- with a modern twist. In 2018, we see a  greater cultural, sexual, morphology, and gender diversity. The themes like teenage boredom, social media, cancel culture and the politically correct are all tackled with esthetically pleasing jaded violence. In 2018, just like in the original version, the adults are completely disconnected and egocentric, and the teenagers are disillusioned in a world ruled by popular social casts. A good restoration of a classic that criticizes teenage nihilism and a society that becomes more and more individualist. *black comedy, not for a sensitive audience
