But the teacher says she can’t even try out for the part . . . because she’s a boy.






Review :

This novel written in the third person puts special emphasis on the difference between what a person can experience and the perception of others. Thus, “George” is the main character, but she uses the pronoun “her”.  This book is wonderful, it really gives you hope.
