Review :
The last reboot of the very popular book series The Baby-Sitters Club (1986-2000), the books have already seen a few reboots in the 90s. The books and their reboots were very successful because of their positive and diverse representations of young girls (11-13 year-olds) and their teenage problems. The last reboot by Netflix includes current themes like divorce, children’s trans identity, interracial families, and physical and mental health. The show neglects once again body diversity, a theme that could have been tackled seeing that body image is an important concern for teenagers and pre-teens today. People from the 80s will be brought back in time. Even at 35, I still want to steal their wardrobe!
