Review:

Before the tv shows Pose (2019) or Rupaul Drag Race (2009-), there was To Wong Foo, Thanks for everything! Julie Newman. It’s a classic of the genre, today, it needs to be watched while keeping in mind the context of the 90s. Homosexuality was barely breaking through the media, the AIDS epidemic was strong and sexual diversity and gender diversity were wildly misunderstood. The movie attempts to talk about several of those topics while celebrating independence, individualism, and the courage to be true to yourself.
