Carol offers splendid characters. Cate Blanchett and Rooney Mara are simply excellent in their roles. Even if it is fiction, it allows us to understand the social context of the sexual diversity of the 50s through a beautiful love story. The movie is however directed by a man and so I wonder if there are a few blind spots when it comes to lesbian women’s perspectives.
